Sir Derek Jacobi who read 'Spring Offensive' in 'Wilfred' is one of Britain's leading Shakespearean & theatre, film and television actors, whose varied career has included theatre work for the RSC, the Old Vic and the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, where he received a Tony Award for his portrayal of Benedick in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
His television work includes the legendary I, CLAUDIUS and three series of CADFAEL and more recently THE WYVERN MYSTERY for the BBC.
His film career has spanned many years and includes THE DAY OF THE JACKAL, THE ODESSA FILE, HENRY V and HAMLET, both directed by Kenneth Brannagh, and the box office hit GLADIATOR, directed by Ridley Scott.
