Yvonne Elvin's paintings were informed by the works of artists at the beginning of the 20th Century, notably Paul Nash
The paintings are in stark contrast to the live action and animation sequences providing a blast of vivid colour
The landscapes have a dreamlike surreal quality and take the viewer away from the claustrophobic trench and gas scenes.
All of Yvonne's paintings are oil on board and are approximately 1.5m in width and match the 1:1.85 ratio of the projected film.
